Kyriaki Kourouni: Ph.D. (University of Thessaloniki), was a visiting professor of translation and terminology in Boğaziçi University. Kyriaki Kourouni (BA Aristotle University; MA in Translation, University of Surrey, DEA in Translation and Intercultural Studies and European Doctorate, Universitat Rovira i Virgili) works as Senior Fellow at the Department of Translation and Intercultural Studies, Aristole University, Greece. She has worked as as Assistant Professor at the Department of Translation and Interpreting Studies, Boğaziçi University, Turkey. She teaches courses related to translation technology, scientific and technical translation, translation methodology and collaborative translation. She has over 10 years of experience in translation and subtitling. Her research interests include translator training, with a preference for process-oriented translator training, and translation technology.

She has served as Vice-President of the Panhellenic Association of Translators (www.pem.gr, 2008-2010) and as a member of the Translation Technology Committee set up by the International Federation of Translators (www.fit-ift.org, 2010-2012). She is currently a member of the Intercultural Studies Group (http://isg.urv.es), a Board member of the Hellenic Society for Translation Studies (http://hst-translationstudies.gr; 2015-2017) and Vice-President of the European Society for Translation Studies (http://www.est-translationstudies.org; 2016-2019).
